With Global IP Solutions’ current release, videoconferencing from a mobile handset will be available in the near future. The company’s VideoEngine Mobile for the Windows Mobile platform enable P2P video calling and multiport videoconferencing on cell phones.

Mobile VoIP is progressively bringing significant service for users who wants to maximize the value received from mobile phones. With video calling,  mobile operators can now deliver the full benefits and innovations of IP communications, granting them  more value-added services to customers while increasing their profit streams.

Some smartphones can already manage video calling, but GIPS said the current products use separate engines for the video and voice function, resulting to jittering and packet-loss issues. GIPS said its VideoEngine Mobile can figure out matters like lip synchronization even under adverse network conditions.
